For JCSRS students, learning extends beyond the classroom into the community. All pathways have a rich programme of educational visits and trips throughout the year linked to their class learning. We also have external providers who come to school to enrich the curriculum and develop our teachers' skills.
Vocational Learning forms part of the JCSRS secondary and Post 16 curriculum offered through a range of classroom-based learning combined with hands-on experiences. We provide a broad curriculum to develop work-related skills such as health and safety, timekeeping, team work and responsibility enhanced with placements in school and off-site.
Vocational Placements for Post 16 Students
In the delivery of Vocational Learning, we connect with industry partners to deliver authentic work experiences. Vocational Learning for students is implemented with the support of our qualified team of therapists, teaching team and ESF job coaches.
Students are matched to vocational placements in school or in an organisation in Hong Kong to develop on-the-job skills based on their strengths and interests. Students will gain AQA unit award certification for completed work placements.
Currently, we partner with East Hotel, Manulife, Burberry and The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club.
