Schools out for summer! What a wonderful final week of memories, fun and learning for our students. We wish you all a safe and happy summer break.
JCSRS Graduation 2025 🎓
Last Friday, we celebrated our incredible graduates – a class that has shown resilience, creativity, leadership, and kindness every step of the way.
To the Class of 2025: You made it. Through the challenges, the growth, and everything in between, this day marked your moment.
We’ve watched you develop not just skills, but character. Whether in the classroom, on stage, or on the field, you’ve shown what it means to persevere. Some of you have been here since Primary; others joined later, but you’ve all left your mark. Your achievements speak for themselves.
To the teachers, therapists, and families who shaped this journey: Thank you. Graduation isn’t just about students, but also the community behind them.

Celebrating Our Carers ☕💙
During Carers Week, we honoured the amazing family helpers who support our students daily. Jade and Ruby classes served them refreshments while others made heartfelt thank-you cards – small gestures for their huge impact.
To all the carers: your dedication is the quiet strength behind our community. Thank you for everything you do.

The talented performers from Treasure Chest Theatre came to perform “Jade Rabbit” for students and families yesterday. The JCSRS PTA kindly sponsored this wonderful event, which allowed families to visit the school and enjoy a sensory-friendly theatre performance within the comfort of familiar surroundings.
Students loved the gentle music, interactive elements, physical storytelling, and the puppet meet-and-greet at the end! The show perfectly embodies our ethos of Total Communication, showing that we communicate many complex ideas and feelings without spoken words.
🦋 Transformation: JCSRS Art Exhibition 🎨
Our school was alive with creativity for the 2025 JCSRS Art Exhibition from 24 to 26 April! For six weeks, our talented students crafted amazing artwork as part of our NPDL project, while staff collaborated on transforming our spaces into a vibrant art gallery.
The participation of The Nesbitt Centre and fellow ESF schools, including IS, KGV, SIS and WIS, celebrates the strong connections within our community. The opening night was extra special, with talented SJS students joining our own for a wonderful musical performance.
Each student's artistic journey significantly contributed to the success of the exhibition. A big thank you to all the families, staff, visitors, and the entire ESF community for your incredible support!
We’re thrilled to announce that the brand-new elliptical machines are here, thanks to the amazing fundraising efforts of our JCSRS PTA and parents! 🎉💪
These fantastic additions to our gym were made possible by the generous contributions from the PTA Christmas Sale and Walkathon, raising an incredible HK$10,480 and HK$22,330, respectively. 🎄🚶
Our students are already loving the new equipment, using it to stay active, build strength, and boost their overall well-being. 💖
Thank you to everyone who supported these initiatives–your generosity is making a real difference in our students’ lives! 🙌
We’re still buzzing from the incredible visit of music educator Doug Goodkin on 13th March! From drumming and singing to exploring xylophones and shakers, our students were fully immersed in creativity and joy while building their musical skills. 🪘🪇
Doug also inspired our teachers with workshops on the Orff Schulwerk approach, highlighting how music connects, inspires, and brings joy to learning. 🎵✨
A huge thank you to Doug for sharing his passion and expertise. We can’t wait to continue this musical journey and bring even more rhythm and harmony to our classrooms! 🌟
This week was Book Week at JCSRS, and students engaged in daily readings of stories from around the world.
On Wednesday, our very own Extra-Special Aunty, Sheila, came to read a story about the important role that migrant domestic workers play in the lives of children in Hong Kong. We deeply appreciate all the Aunties (and Uncles) who support our students. They are an incredibly important part of the JCSRS community.
Sales of the book 'My Extra-Special Aunty' also go towards an NGO supporting migrant domestic workers, and it is available in bookshops around Hong Kong.
Congratulations to our JCSRS Softball Team! 🥎
We are thrilled to announce that our softball team emerged victorious in the Po Leung Kuk Anita L. L. Chan (Centenary) School 8th Inclusive Softball Competition! The dedication shown during the two full-day practices alongside SIS and KGV Learning Support students truly paid off on competition day.
It was heartwarming to witness the friendships that have blossomed over the years among the returning ESF students, as well as the growth in their skills and understanding of the game.
We extend our sincere thanks to TWGHs Kwan Fong Kai Chi School and PLK Anita L. L. Chan (Centenary) School for their participation. A special acknowledgement goes to William Wong (PLKCS) for expertly organising the tournament and to the Hong Kong China Softball Association for the use of the Tin Kwong Road softball field.
👋 Exciting News! Our brand-new JCSRS website is now live! 🌐
Discover a modern, user-friendly design that makes it easier than ever to explore our vibrant school community. Explore our campus, learn about our curriculum, and see how we prepare students for success within the supportive ESF network.
